Fishing, Boating, Crabbing
Many members join Chinook Bend RV Resort because of the many fishing, boating, and crabbing opportunities it offers.
The Siletz River is world famous for giant Chinook (King) salmon. Members enjoy this fantastic thrill every August, September, and October. It's not unusual for these mammoth salmon to exceed 50 pounds!
Chinook Bend fishermen also enjoy other fishing seasons as well when they catch steelhead and giant sturgeon. And of course, ocean perch are available and plentiful all year long.
Chinook Bend offers excellent boating fun. We have one of the only boat launching ramps on the river, plus we have many boating and fishing docks waiting for your boating and fishing whims. A boat ride up river can take you on a serene, majestic adventure filled with breath-taking beauty and fantastic wildlife.
A short three mile boat ride down river takes you to the Siletz Bay and the Pacific Ocean where crab fisherman can catch their limits of delicious crab.
And the mighty Pacific Ocean is right there, too, if you want to venture out to sea for a fishing adventure.
