How to Select a Membership Campground
1. Location should be your number one priority. Join a campground that is beautiful, clean, and safe. (Like us)
2. Amenities are important. Make sure your campground is not just a space to park. Does it have fishing, boating, hiking, activities, golf and other exciting things to do at the park and surrounding community? Compare other parks to Chinook Bend.
3. Reciprocal Affiliations should be scrutinized carefully. First, do you have the right to camp at 1,000 other campgrounds for as little as $5.00 per night? If not, don't join that campground. If the park does belong to a reciprocal affiliation, is that affiliation a proven entity? How long has it been in business? If it is five years or less, forget it. Reciprocal clubs come and go. Only a few have proven longevity. Select only those and forget the unproven pretenders. Coast to Coast and Resort Parks International are proven affiliates.
4. Price should be important, but should not be the deciding factor. Lowest price could very well mean lowest service. Be very aware of very low membership and yearly dues fees. This should be a red flag. These campgrounds want quantity, not quality, and are in the business for the short haul. Beware! (Compare our prices)
5. Avoid Mail Order. Visit your prospective membership campground before you buy. Reputable campgrounds do not encourage sight unseen sales. Mail order campgrounds are most likely breaking industry rules and state and federal laws.
6. Interview Current Members. Campgrounds with nothing to hide will gladly supply you with names and phone numbers of current members who can give you honest feedback.
7. Check Out Chinook Bend RV Resort. We pass all the above criteria with flying colors. Call us, and if you don't choose us, we'll help you locate a campground that suits your needs.
