Hired Hands Band

Date: 08/10/08

Time: 6 to 8 pm.

 

What: Bring your lawn chairs to the River Deck for an unforgettable evening of entertainment. There will be music, a campfire and of course a covered area if it rains.

Cost: Free to all CB members, day users, tent campers and RV’ers. Outside admission 8.00 per car, up to 4 people, Extra people 2.00 each, children under 10 are FREE.

Refreshments, beer, wine, food & snacks will be available.

 


Oregon Coast Aquarium::

Watch sea otters, harbor seals and California  sea lions play along the Aquariums rocky shore. Encounter sharks and skates in “Passages of the Deep” a 200ft. underwater tunnel.

Yaquina Head & Yaquina Bay Lighthouses:

Yaquina Head is Oregon's tallest lighthouse. Yaquina Bay is Newport's oldest remaining building, built in 1871. There are wheelchair accessible natural tide pools in the area.


Newport Historic Bay front:

Along with watching fishing boats come and go, there are 3 great attractions.

        Undersea Gardens-A window to the underwater world

        Ripley's Believe it or not-Judge for yourself.

Wax Works  (a living museum) Meet monsters and legends.


Historic Covered Bridges:

Built during the mid 1850’s there are 4 covered bridges in Lincoln County. Chitwood and North Fork on the Yaquina River. Drift Creek at Bear Creek and Fisher School at Five Rivers. There are also many historic bridges built along hwy.101.


Nature Based Tours:

Tours are available from Depoe Bay, Lincoln City and Newport, for those interested in learning about the natural history of Lincoln County.


Whale Watching, Fishing, Crabbing and Clamming:

Weather permitting, Depoe Bay and Newport charter boat companies offer many scheduled trips.


Golf:

Salishan and Chinook Winds Casino offer great golfing.
